Review details: error free performance, extensive feature set, and highlights XML Web Services capabilities leveraging Microsofts .NET framework.
CT Labs, the converged communications industry’s leading independent testing service, published a review this week of Callware’s Callegra.UC Unified Communications System.
Award winning Callegra.UC, first released in October 2002, is the world’s first XML web services enabled system for unified messaging and communications. By integrating voice messaging, fax services, email and text-to-speech into a unified solution, supporting access from both the telephone and graphical interfaces, businesses both large and small receive tremendous lifts in productivity through enhanced internal and external communications.
After an extensive evaluation of Callegra.UC, including system administration, solution performance, and ease of use, Callegra.UC received an overall score of 9.08 out of a possible 10. The report also commends the Microsoft .NET Connected(TM) web services software development kit (SDK) that allows developers to incorporate voice and fax messaging capabilities within their own applications. Looking specifically at the automated performance tests, designed to verify system handling in real-world environments, the report concludes that Callegra.UC performed all our demanding test cycles with zero errors detected, an excellent result.
Based on our previous review of the Callegra.UC platform, we know it performs well as it scales to hundreds of ports on multiple servers, said Chris Bajorek, President of CT Labs. This test demonstrates Callegra’s ability to perform well for the everyday business user, with easy to use messaging, intuitive administration, and a very capable range of features and options.
Callegra.UCs extensive feature set, highlights of which are included within CT Labs report, has been developed for over a decade to support the many variations and nuances required for flexible and effective business communications. The modular XML web services architecture allows customers to employ only those capabilities that make sense, while preserving their ability to easily add other functions when the time is right. Additionally, Callegra.UCs universal system integration capabilities support popular email applications and literally hundreds of traditional PBX telephone systems, as well as, the latest IP PBXs offering a compelling solution for any business or institution.
The CT Labs report is further validation that Callware continues to be a market innovator, said Steve Giusti, Vice President for Callware Technologies. Callegra.UCs robust feature set, its modular and scalable architecture, its extensive system integration capabilities; all were designed to make Callegra.UCs value proposition the price/performance leader in the market. he continued.
Callware’s vision for universal integration is further reflected within the release of the Callegra.UC XML Web Services SDK (software development kit), which leverages Microsofts .NET web services framework. Callegra.UC is leading the way into enterprise communication integration with the first unified communications solution and SDK to qualify as a Microsoft .NET Connected application. With Callegra.UCs SDK, Callware’s partners, solution providers, system integrators, OEMs and end users can tightly integrate Callegra.UCs voice and fax capabilities within any application across the enterprise. Customer facing applications, such as customer relationship management or sales-force automation, can offer voice and fax features, and wireless handheld devices can now manage voicemail and fax messages from outside the office.
