What's New in Callegra.UC 1.15 and 1.15 SP1

Callware Technologies, Inc. (Callware) announces the new release of its flagship product Callegra.UC 1.15, an enterprise solution that is SIP enabled and IPv6 compliant.

The Callegra.UC product provides voicemail, unified messaging, auto attendant, text-to-speech (TTS), voice recognition, and clients to access voice/fax messages from the telephone, desktop client, or the Internet.

The Callegra.UC 1.15 product highlights the following new enterprise level features.

Client Features

  • Re-designed CallegraWEB Interface — Re-designed and added enhancements to the CallegraWEB web-based interface where users can receive and send voice/fax messages as well as configure Callegra options for their mailbox.
  • PDF Faxing — Added the ability to receive faxes in PDF format.
  • Third-Party SAPI 5 Compatible Voices from Cepstral — New support for SAPI 5 compatible voices from Cepstral.
Database Features
  • Enhanced Callegra.UC Database Install — New support for a separate Database server including all administrative, box information, and voice/fax messages for the Callegra.UC system. To access, configure, and perform administration tasks, go to the CallegraADMIN for MMC interface.
  • SQL Server 2008 — Added support for SQL Server 2008 and SQL Express 2008.
Third Party Software Support
  • Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit support — CallegraFAX Print Driver, CallegraINBOX for Outlook, and CallegraAdmin for MMC can run on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7.
  • Microsoft Outlook 2010 Support — CallegraINBOX for Microsoft Outlook is now supported in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Outlook 2010.
  • Windows 2008 Server — Added support for Windows 2008 Server.

Virtualization Support

  • Server Virtualization support — VMware ESXi Hypervisor to virtualize the Callegra.UC system.

Integration Features

  • SIP Integration using Dialogic HMP — SIP implementation facilitates telephone switch integrations without underlying voiceboard hardware.
  • SIP Integrations — Successfully performed interoperability testing with the following IP switches:
    • Cisco Unified Communications Manager — CUCM8.0 (2) and CUCM8.6.1
    • Cisco CUCM6
    • Avaya Communication Manager — CM6 and Avaya AS5300
    • Nokia Siemens Network — HiQ8000
    • Asterisk
  • Additional T1 PRI QSIG integrations — Successfully performed interoperability testing using:
    • Avaya CM6
    • Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8.0.2
    • Tadiran

  • Added support for Dialogic Media Gateways — Can support analog, digital, or T1 Dialogic Media Gateways. Calls are routed to the gateway using TDM and are converted to a SIP packet from the gateway to the Callegra.UC Telephony Server utilizing SIP integration.
  • AudioCodes Mediant Gateway Support — Added support for AudioCodes Mediant 800 and Mediant 3000 Gateways. Calls are routed to the gateway using TDM and are converted to a SIP packet from the gateway to the Callegra.UC Telephony Server utilizing SIP integration.
  • Channel Bank Support with AudioCodes Mediant Gateways. For AudioCodes Mediant 800 and Mediant 3000 Gateways, added support for Channel Bank, which converts analog to T1.
  • IPv6 Compliance
  • Brooktrout SR140 IP Faxing — Added support for SR140 IP Fax Driver, which allows IP faxing using T.38 protocol without the use of fax board hardware.
