Callware’s Flagship Unified Messaging Product Continues to Receive Awards and
Recognition as Frost & Sullivan – An International Marketing, Consulting and Training Company – Recognizes Callegra for Demonstrating Excellence in Product
Innovation in the Field of Unified Messaging
Callware Technologies, a leader in advanced messaging and computer telephony solutions, today announced that it has been distinguished by Frost & Sullivan — an international marketing, consulting and training company, for its ability to “adopt new technology, develop a well-designed product family, and make significant contributions to the unified messaging market.”
Callware was selected to receive the award from an in-depth analysis performed by Frost & Sullivan of the unified messaging market and the various vendors selling unified messaging products. In its Introduction to U.S. Unified Messaging Markets 2004-62, the authors praise Callware’s versatility: Callware Technologies has developed one of the most innovative enterprise solutions targeting the unified messaging market. Its Callegra family of products fully supports all three major client environments, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, and Novell GroupWise.
A strong differentiating factor for Callware’s Callegra product is its ability to network multiple servers at geographically dispersed locations, thus providing a seamless corporate communications infrastructure. The smooth integration of the disparate communications components is ensured through Callware’s support of more than 100 existing PBX brands.
“Creating products that combine useful customer benefits with forward-thinking innovation has always been our goal at Callware, “said John Saverino, Callware’s President and CEO. “We are extremely pleased to be recognized for our efforts and contributions to this market by an objective and well-reputed organization such as Frost & Sullivan.”
Callegra was also lauded for its Web-based client interface that allows mobile professionals and traveling employees Internet access to all their messages in their various forms from anywhere in the world.
Callegra is an easy-to-use unified messaging product for managing voice and fax messages that integrates with popular e-mail packages (Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise) or can operate as a stand-alone voice messaging platform. Callegra’s telephone interface provides advanced voice mail functionality, access to voice and fax messages and performs notifications through paging or any telephone interface (office, remote or cellular). When integrated with e-mail, users see and respond to their voice and fax messages from their e-mail inbox. This allows users to select any media type when creating or responding to a message (e.g. a user can respond to a voice message with e-mail or forward a fax to a voice mailbox). Callegra also integrates with the Internet, allowing both remote access to messages for traveling users or the ability to integrate multiple Callegra servers, using the Internet as a transport medium for all types of messaging. Businesses using Callegra experience increased employee productivity through messaging efficiency, a lower cost of investment/ownership and a software product that provides both superior functionality and upgradability for long-term technological growth and investment protection.
Callegra is Year 2000 compliant and scales up to 96 ports. Callegra supports Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT-based workstations and servers. Callegra supports every major PBX/KSU vendor and with this release has added support for several advanced digital switches, including those from popular telephone system vendors such as: Lucent, Nortel, Mitel, and NEC.
