Callware Technologies, a leader in advanced messaging and computer telephony solutions, today announced that its Callegra product, released in September of this year, has been distinguished as a superior product by two of the computer telephony and messaging industries’ major publications, Computer Telephony Magazine and Teleconnect Magazine.
Computer Telephony Magazine has awarded the Windows NT version of Callegra with a coveted “Product of the Year” award as well as a “Judge’s Pick” award from the Computer Telephony Demo/Expo ’98 held in September at New York’s Javits Center. Teleconnect Magazine awarded Callegra “Best of Show” at the same event.
“Callware achieves with Callegra what resellers and end-users alike have been waiting for in a unified messaging product — a product that’s easy to set up and administer with the features and e-mail integrations that people need … There’s been a lot of obvious thought put into both the admin and client interfaces (of Callegra). Extremely intuitive,” stated the editors of Computer Telephony Magazine. “Overall, I’d say Callware didn’t miss much with this release.”
Upon receiving the news that Callware had been selected to receive Computer Telephony Magazine’s “Product of the Year” award, John Saverino, Callware’s President and CEO said, “We’re pleased to be recognized for the quality we strive to build into each of our products. Callegra is the result of combining extensive input from our end-users and dealers with what we collectively believe an advanced messaging product should be. We have made every effort to make Callegra a product that delivers unquestionable value to everyone who uses it.”
Callegra is an easy-to-use unified messaging product for managing voice and fax messages that integrates with popular e-mail packages (Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise) or can operate as a stand-alone voice messaging platform. Callegra’s telephone interface provides advanced voice mail functionality, access to voice and fax messages and performs notifications through paging or any telephone interface (office, remote or cellular). When integrated with e-mail, users see and respond to their voice and fax messages from their e-mail inbox. This allows users to select any media type when creating or responding to a message (e.g. a user can respond to a voice message with an e-mail or forward a fax to a voice mailbox). Callegra also integrates with the Internet, allowing both remote access to messages for travelling users or the ability to integrate multiple Callegra servers, using the Internet as a transport medium for all types of messaging. Businesses using Callegra experience increased employee productivity through messaging efficiency, a lower cost of investment/ownership and a software product that provides both superior functionality and upgradability for long-term technological growth and investment protection.
Callegra is Year 2000 compliant and scales up to 96 ports. Callegra supports Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT-based workstations and servers. Callegra supports every major PBX/KSU vendor and with this release has added support for several advanced digital switches, including those from popular telephone system vendors such as: Lucent, Nortel, Mitel, and NEC.
