Lucent and CallWare Expand Existing OEM Agreement

CallWare Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of voice mail and network-enabled computer telephony software, today announced an expansion of its OEM agreement with Lucent Technologies. Under the original agreement, Lucent offered CallWare’s Phonetastic(TM), a powerful call control and call routing software package, on the Merlin Legend Advanced Solutions Communications System through Lucent’s direct distribution and authorized dealer channels. Implementation was only through Lucent’s Professional Services.

The expanded agreement further enables Lucent to implement computer telephony integration (CTI) by authorizing CallWare’s nationwide channel of telephony integrators to implement the CTI solutions purchased by small, medium, and multi-site businesses.

CallWare and Lucent expanded their OEM agreement as a result of Lucent’s successful CTI offering for the Merlin Legend. Many small and mid-size businesses across the country are ordering the Phonetastic call control package. This great response prompted Lucent and CallWare to broaden the network of telephony integrators through the expansion of the OEM agreement. The expanded agreement positions CallWare and Lucent to successfully grow with the rapidly increasing CTI market, especially the small, medium, and multi- site business markets.

CallWare welcomes the opportunity to expand its involvement with Lucent to develop the growing CTI markets. “Lucent is known for providing an excellent quality of service. The training is being jointly developed and will be subject to Lucent’s quality requirements.”
