Excerpt from Business Wire Press Release:
Alcatel, a global leader in communications systems, and Callware Technologies, a leader in advanced messaging and Internet computer telephony solutions, today announced a partnership to incorporate Callware’s unified messaging solution (UMS) into Alcatel’s communications server being developed to meet the integrated communications requirements – telephony, computer applications and Internet access — of small- to medium-size companies.
This partnership with Callware is one more example of Alcatel’s strategy to work with the industry’s leading vendors to deliver a full suite of UMS to customers of all sizes, from small to large global enterprises.
Under the agreement, Alcatel will make Callware’s unified messaging application a key component of its communications server, an open, standards-based hardware and software platform. Callware’s voice messaging application will interface with Dialogic’s CT Media resource management software – a prime example of the openness and easy integration that the new communications server will provide. “We’re very happy with our relationship with Callware and are confident we have chosen the ideal unified messaging capabilities for our communications server,” said Patrick Liot, president of Alcatel’s Professional and Consumer Division in Paris.
“Our award-winning, proven unified messaging product provides the advanced, intelligent features required by customers. We are pleased that Alcatel selected Callware to launch Alcatel’s unified messaging business in the US, as well as other strategic international markets,” said John Saverino, Callware’s president and CEO.
