CallWare Enters IBM's ServerProven Solutions Program

Joint Efforts Simplify Installation/Configuration for VARs and Offer Improved Communications Systems for Business Users

CallWare Technologies Inc., the leading provider of computer telephony software, Monday announced its participation in the IBM ServerProven Solutions program.

As part of this program, CallWare’s networked voice messaging, unified messaging and call control software will be tested with IBM Netfinity and IBM PC Server systems to better meet the communications needs of small- and medium-sized businesses.

The IBM ServerProven Solutions program involves testing of IBM PC servers with industry-leading software applications and hardware during the development cycle in order to provide more fully integrated systems that meet specific business needs.

The program is a commitment by IBM to work with independent software vendors to ensure the highest level of integration from the earliest stages of development through the life cycle of the product.

“The combination of IBM’s Netfinity and IBM PC Servers with CallWare’s voice, fax and unified messaging software provides a world-class communications server for any business,” said Zig J. Serafin, vice president of business development, CallWare.

“Because IBM’s ServerProven Solutions program requires comprehensive testing of both the software applications and hardware products, we can offer improved performance, simplified installation and configurations that will meet the business requirements of all our customers.”

CallWare’s voice mail, fax, unified messaging and call processing software offers significant cost savings and improved communications to businesses of all sizes. Voice mail users can see messages displayed graphically using CallWare ViewPoint and address the most urgent messages first.

CallWare’s unified messaging solutions provide single-point access to all forms of business communications (voice, e-mail and fax) from a PC or a telephone. CallWare integrates with all of the leading messaging platforms, including Lotus’ Notes, cc:Mail, Novell’s GroupWise, and Microsoft’s Exchange/Outlook.

In addition, CallWare’s products are designed for easy and cost-effective upgrades. By simply adding another software module, an organization can upgrade the number of users or enhance the functionality of a system without the hassles of traditional software upgrades or migrations.

“Our entry into the ServerProven Solutions program enables our resellers to deliver the highest quality computer telephony solution available in the market,” Serafin said. “Combining CallWare’s award-winning computer telephony applications and IBM’s world-class PC servers gives customers access to powerful messaging technology in the most tightly integrated and secure environment.”
