CallWare announces development of the CallWare Java Telephony (JTAPI) Server.

Server allows Java developers to utilize telephony applications

CallWare Technologies Inc., a leading provider of Internet-enabled computer telephone integration (CTI) solutions, Tuesday announced the development of a network-based technology to integrate Java Telephony features (JTAPI) with PBX and key systems to provide telephony call control services.

This technology will allow Java developers to incorporate telephony functions such as call control and call back into Web pages and other Internet applications.

By utilizing its proven integration technology, CallWare is the first vendor to bring JTAPI capabilities to a broad range of PBX and key systems. CallWare’s Intranet Telephony Suite of products allow JTAPI users to take advantage of their existing and new telephony equipment and extends the number of telephone systems to integrate with Java applications.

CallWare will demonstrate its JTAPI server at Computer Telephony Expo ’97, Booth No. 1901. There will be an area in the booth for developers to see and test this new product. CallWare links computers and telephones by providing the first software-only Internet/Intranet solutions for voicemail and auto-attendants with over 300 telephone systems and provides free long-distance voice messaging over the Internet.
