CallWare 5.2 Internet enabled voice messaging server

CallWare Technologies Inc. announces the release of CallWare version 5.2, which includes Internet connectivity at both the client and server level.
The benefit to business is the ability to network voice messaging systems over the Internet rather than long-distance lines, resulting in tremendous cost savings.

The latest version also includes integration with Cheyenne FAXserve and Novell GroupWise, unifying messages of multiple media types and making it easier for users to perform messaging functions without having to access voice, fax, and e-mail from multiple locations. In addition, CallWare 5.2 features new reporting features, a redesigned interface, support for T1, E1, and ATSI voice boards, and support for multimedia PCs.

“With the introduction of CallWare 5.2 businesses now have the ability to network voice messaging at geographically dispersed sites using the Internet as the transport medium,” stated R. Craig Hansen, chairman and chief executive officer of CallWare Technologies.

“By utilizing CallWare’s Internet integration, multiple CallWare servers update voice messages left by callers in one location to all the other locations in an enterprise. Corporations can significantly lower their long-distance expenses, while increasing the effectiveness of their enterprise communications ability.”

CallWare’s voice and call processing systems are open, software-based systems that support industry standard hardware, software, and voice boards. CallWare provides users with a graphical interface allowing users to effectively manage voice messages. CallWare is integrated with Novell Directory Services (NDS), providing CallWare administration from any workstation on the network. Since the last release of CallWare, 86 new switch integrations have been added, bringing the total number of switches integrated with CallWare to over 250.

CallWare 5.2 will be shown at booth No. 5733 at Spring Comdex in Chicago. Version 5.2 will be available in multiples of 10, 50, and 100 user versions. Availability and pricing of the product will be through CallWare Authorized Resellers within 45 days.
